Hans Christian Andersen, born April the 2nd 1805, was a Danish poet and author who is world famous for his fairy tales, among them “The Ugly Duckling”.
He was also known for his paper clips and is one of the Danish “Golden Age” main characters.Hans Christian Andersen grew up in Odense where, to this day, you can see his house and many of his great works of art.
